This work is part of the collective exhibition ART INTERRUPTED, held at il-Kamra ta' Fuq from the 19th of March to the 17th of April 2022.   

 

The Gathering is a study of human interactions where the importance of the roles of the main protagonists are switched. Oftentimes, what we don't see is more important than what we see. Through this piece, I give importance to behind the scene interactions rather than to the assumed protagonists of a wedding. This analogy can also be applied to painting whereby what we don't immediately see is just as important as the supposed finished result.
