This work is part of the collective exhibition ART INTERRUPTED, held at il-Kamra ta' Fuq from the 19th of March to the 17th of April 2022.   

 

Heat was inspired by an intense moment during a heatwave in the summer of 2021. The economical amount of brushwork and hot colors contribute to a sense of yearning for an ice-cold beverage. By leaving the piece unfinished and raw Daniel mimics the ever-changing and unstable element of nature, thus encouraging the viewer to embrace evolving aspect of everything around us whether it is the weather, a rusting vending machine, or the grip of frustration when you can’t get a drink.
