PAWLU MIZZI

Pawlu Mizzi, b.1981, is an artist from Valletta, working in digital painting, installation art, poetry and writing. The thematics of his numerous works focus on researching beauty, intimacy and the absurd through rhyme and dissonance.

 

A graphic designer and project manager by profession, Mizzi studied at the Emvin Cremona Art & Design Centre in Valletta and the University of Malta.

 

Mizzi curated exhibitions and founded and co-founded interdisciplinary projects working with graphic designers, musicians, academics, artists and composers. He co-founded Alternative Malta (2003) and flokk (2010) and founded redwhite and Belt Valletta (2010). He has also been a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Media & Knowledge Sciences, University of Malta.

 

He is a Masters graduate in Fine Arts in Digital Media focused on contemporary politics, social media and social narratives.

 

Mizzi works in Valletta.
