Inspired by the Bologna Burning Man ceremony held every New Years Eve. It’s a composition executed in oils, mainly burnt sienna, found from a still photo taken by the artist. Scouring the still image of the flames to find a composition that resonates with the artist's vision is a process in itself - like wading through the flames of a burning field. Titled after the well known piece of The Doors.
