The artwork was part of the Pop-Up Arty Shop, held at il-Kamra ta' Fuq, between the 6th to 23th August 2026.

The Juliet Series explores the construction of girlhood through the collision of Catholic iconography, pop culture and nostalgia.

Referencing the Virgin Mary and Juliet as historical adolescents, the work questions how young girls have been romanticised, idealised and sexualised across time. Childhood materials, devotional imagery and lyrics by female musicians are brought together to expose the contradictions imposed on girls—expected to remain innocent while being viewed through an adult lens. The series asks who gets to tell these stories, and how those retellings continue to shape ideas of femininity, purity and desire.
