is a series of photographs taken over a period of several years on my rambles through Gozo.
The images deal with the remoteness, the silence, a certain barrenness and solitude that could - and still can - be found on this tiny island. They reflect my very personal encounters with the landscape and everyday life and pay tribute to a place of refuge, strength and concentration which the island represents to me - albeit being aware of the changes and challenges Gozo has to face in recent times.
For iz-Zewg Hitan @60, a special "traveller‘s edition" consisting of selected images from the series as unique Giclée prints (1/1) in a small format has been produced.
