This artwork is part of a series of studies that the artist did after the artwork 'Longing for Home' which was exhibited at the inauguration of Teatru Astra in Victoria, Gozo.

 

In this mixed media artwork, the artist plays around with the juxtaposition of a female figure that represents a sea nymph, and the sea. This juxtaposition is reminiscent of collaging, in which the elements presented share the same visual field but pertain to different sources and dimensions.
