Ebru Çınar ErdoÄŸan

Born in Turkey in 1988, Ebru Çınar ErdoÄŸan is an artist whose practice reflects the lessons she inherited from her mother, reinterpreted within a contemporary context. With a background shaped by tradition, her work balances the values of patience, discipline, and craft with the shifting dynamics and clichés of the modern world.

Her artistic journey deepened during a period of time living in Poland, where exposure to new cultural experiences expanded her creative perspective and inspired her to explore embroidery in innovative ways. In 2016, she founded her brand byebrucinar, transforming what began as a hobby into a meaningful artistic practice. Each stitch became an act of patience, care, and creativity, evolving into a language through which she could question tradition while embracing new forms of expression.

Since relocating to Malta in 2020, ErdoÄŸan has continued to develop her artistic voice, presenting work both locally and internationally. Her oeuvre includes embroidery, embroidery on paper, textile printing, acrylic painting, and mixed media. She has exhibited in The 20’s Take 2 (online), Phenotype, and the Thread Collective Exhibition, each project marking a further step in her exploration of identity, tradition, and contemporary life.
