Nikki Zammit ‘Nik’ (b. 2002), is a Maltese artist who hails from Mqabba. From a young age she has been heavily influenced by psychology, mythology and religion; particularly those from the Greek, Roman Catholic, and Hindu traditions, influences which still remain prevalent in her art today. Zammit considers herself a poet who makes use of both the pen and the brush to connect themes of the surreal; the unconscious archetypes present as a unifying undercurrent to tradition, as well as the reviving of those classics in a new light. Her works can be found in private collections in Malta and Ireland.
