by Sarah Calleja

15th July - 15th August 2022

@ il-Kamra ta' Fuq

In these works, Sarah Calleja attempts to capture the aura of the Grand Harbour area.  She chose to work with a restricted palette with some works using only one colour and others using five colours.  Painting only the essence, eliminating most detail, in a mass of colour a sliver of light, often using wisely the white paper.

Lost in the Ether

I can't help but pull the earth around me to make my bed.jpg

by Nicole Sciberras Debono

19th Aug - 12th Sept 2022

@ il-Kamra ta' Fuq

To be ‘lost in the ether’, is to say that one is engrossed in a communication or visual that has no fixture in space or time; it has no precise location or context. Sciberras Debono brings forward esoteric narratives of a domestic familiarity, with notes on online and para-social relationships, and the reflections of a young woman in a contemporary society.

A Midsummer's Red Dream

22nd June - 17th July 2022

@ BOCO Boutique Hotel

The subject matter for the first exhibition at BOCO is bound only to these three inspiring and intriguing words.  We aim to have an exhibition tied with the colour red, while the various artists are invited to express in vague or concrete ways an atmosphere of a dreamy summer, or… a contradiction to that.

by Roderick Camilleri

15th June - 11th July 2022

@ il-Kamra ta' Fuq

This body of works portrays Camilleri's artistic research linked to materiality and experimental processes. In this collection, the artist externalises a meditative, and at times, playful approach, revealing his interest in the material and spiritual imprint as well as the importance of the natural environment.

by Anabel Cordina

20th May - 13th June 2022

@ il-Kamra ta' Fuq

Noli (Hide and Seek) is a collection of woodcut monoprints exploring the playful nature of Art as a continuous unveiling process, of that which is hidden and the search for the not so obvious.  Noli acts as a metaphor for the latent energy present in introspective moments whereby in solitude, the will to seek is renewed.

Out of Now

Exhibition by
Alex Attard

Joyce Camilleri

16th July - 16th August 2021

@ il-Kamra ta' Fuq

Conceived at a time when travelling was not an option, and inspired by the poetry of Czeslaw Milosz, these works transported Camilleri to ethereal places and ambiguous spaces that echo familiar Maltese landscapes and linger to unknown territories, where silence and tranquillity reign.
